This project is a reflection on the implications of writing a diary. About the spontaneity of the moment in which to do it and why to do it. An experiment on how to build a story through the visualization of data, data generated over a period of seventy-seven days through a manual and personal procedure in a book format.
Este proyecto es una reflexión sobre las implicaciones que suponen hacer un diario. Sobre la espontaneidad del momento en el que hacerlo y el motivo por el que hacerlo. Un experimento sobre cómo construir un relato a través de la visualización de datos, datos generados durante un periodo de setenta y siete días a través de un procedimiento manual y personal en formato de libro.




The diary experiment is based on the daily photos I took of the only point where natural light entered my house at the moment I remembered I had to. In this way I could measure how busy I was or how much I missed the natural light because in my room at the moment of maximum brightness, that is at 12:00 AM, it appeared that it was barely dawn.
El diario-experimento se basa en las fotos diarias que hacía del único punto por el que entraba luz natural en mi casa en el momento en el que recordaba que tenía que hacerlo. De esta manera podía medir cuánto de ocupado estaba o cuánto echaba de menos la luz natural ya que en mi habitación en el momento de mayor luminosidad, es decir a las 12:00 AM, parecía que apenas estaba amaneciendo.














The pages of the diary are printed on acetate which allows to see the mixture of the different days and forces the reader to look for a window or a light source to be able to observe the images. The intention is to generate the same need I felt when looking for natural light.
Las páginas del diario están impresas en acetatos lo que permite ver la mezcla de los diferentes días y obliga al lector a buscar una ventana o fuente de luz para poder observar las imágenes. La intención es generar la misma necesidad que yo sentía al buscar la luz natural.









To visualize all the data I gathered in this process I designed three types of charts:

1- Visual synthesis with all the photos of the lucid moment.
2- Graphic as a calendar of the lucid moment.
3- Light-temporal map of the lucid moment.
Para visualizar todos los datos que recopilé en este proceso diseñe tres tipos de gráficos:

1- Síntesis visual con todas las fotos del momento lúcido.
2- Gráfico en forma de calendario del momento lúcido.
3- Mapa lumínico temporal del momento lúcido.










As a final conclusion I would appreciate that the spontaneity of the lucid moment was becoming a habit that was getting closer and closer to noon, that is, my mind consciously or unconsciously was looking for the moment of greatest luminosity, noon, and strangely the noon is the final graph that represents the chronological sequence of all the lucid moments set vertically.
Cómo conclusión final pude apreciar que la espontaneidad del momento lúcido se fue convirtiendo en una costumbre que cada vez se acercaba más al mediodía, es decir, mi mente consciente o inconscientemente buscaba el momento de mayor luminosidad, el mediodía, y curiosamente el mediodía es la gráfica final que representa la secuencia cronológica de todos los momentos lúcidos puestos en vertical.
